An Insight Into Willing For Welfare

Like it is said, “The first step towards change is awareness!”

It is crucial to become aware of what is going around, there must be the awakening within ones mind. Today, many people are unaware of the societal issues occurring on a daily basis. Many people are unaware that they have the potential within them to overcome such societal issues as every contribution towards the society counts, be it in any way.

Considering the fact that today there are several issues our society faces each day, there is an urgent need to make the youth aware about such problems.
Awareness is the first step to action. They have to know something is going on to know to do something about it. So here we are, a bunch of college students, with our brand new startup for spreading awareness among the youth.

WILLING FOR WELFARE is a recently initiated student run initiative, aiming to address and spread awareness regarding a number of social problems and social issues that are faced in our society. It runs on the lines “Awareness is Light”. We as social highflyers, extend our hands forward to make one aware on a range of issues and bring about a change in the society. In this tech savvy world, what better than using the digital space!

Our core team members include:

  1. Shiwani Jairath(Founder)
  2. Suraj(Co-founder)
  3. Mehak Gupta(Content head)
  4. Soumya Nijhawan(Content head)
  5. Riya(Graphics head)

Our Dedicated Team is committed to work for society to uplift the needy, working with maximum efforts to nourish our society about upliftment and awareness.

Mostly, all the existing websites or pages focus on a specific topic. But with willing for welfare the aim is to stay conscious about different things that people might ignore because they themselves don’t see it that often. The idea is to make sure our youth know about the existing problems and contribute to change and help make the world a better place.

Currently, we are working to cover diverse topics and tell our viewers about issues and how can we all on a personal level help to overcome them.  Along with each issue that we cover, a special interview with a “changemaker” working in that specific field is also published. Not only does it help in getting insights from a person who is already working to make a change, but also suggestions as to what can be done on personal level in the journey to eradicate the problem.

For future, we have planned to conduct various volunteership programs, competitions, donation drives and webinars or seminars for volunteers across the nation.
Afterall, what more one could ask for than spreading the word with others. Our organisation believes that if a person has proper knowledge about the issue, he/she can make a huge difference to the society. This way if the helping hands increase, the dream to make this world a better place to live isn’t that far!

Starting from scratch is tough. The journey has not been easy so far, from ideas that failed to finding the right people. But that doesn’t stop us from moving forward, no matter what hurdles may come our way, we are ready to face them all and make sure we accomplish what we stand for. A lot of hard work has been put into making this organisation stand where it is today and there is no stopping.
